ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Train In Northern Westchester

The identity of a man who was killed after being struck by an Amtrak train in Northern Westchester has been released by authorities.

Preciado was struck by a train near Cortlandt station, MTA officials said.

Peekskill resident Marcos Preciado, age 37, was killed on Monday night, May 8 after he was struck by an Amtrak train around 8:40 p.m. on the Hudson Line near Cortlandt station, according to MTA officials.

Following the incident, Preciado was taken to an area hospital and later died from his injuries.

An investigation into the death is still ongoing. No criminality is suspected, MTA officials said.
